I'm John and my wife is Gillian. We have called our HERBALIFE business WEIGHT LOSS AND WELLNESS.

I graduated in Mechanical Engineering and spent most of my professional life engineering capital projects in the paper manufacturing industry. Gillian qualified in Education and is the Headteacher of one of our local schools.

I was forced to change my occupation after having a major heart attack which was a very interesting, though not recommended, experience. Although I lost weight immediately after the heart attack, probably due to the shock, I was unable to keep my weight at a healthy level. Over the years it slowly increased to a point where I started to suffer from angina pains during exercise. I also always felt lethargic and always lacked energy. At that time (four years ago) I was very worried and desperate to lose weight.

Gillian also had issues with her weight due mainly to an under-active thyroid. She'd also been unable to keep her weight at a healthy level although being on one stringent diet after another.

It was at this point that Herbalife nutrition products came into our lives.

By building and regularly updating this website we hope to help you achieve your weight and wellness targets. We hope to do this by making available on an ongoing basis what we, as Non-Health Professionals, have learnt through personal experience. By giving you good advice in plain English and avoiding the misconceptions that can surround the topic.

We would also like to say that when we started our weight loss programs we kept our doctors fully informed regarding our plans as we were taking prescription medicines for our ailments. I was taking Aspirin, statin and beta-blockers for my heart condition and Gillian was, and still is, taking thyroxin for her under-active thyroid.

The products, being totally natural food, did not interact with our prescription medication. This said, we strongly recommend you consult your Doctor before making any changes to any present medication or course of treatment.
